The Evolve Run Ring System Minus Kit (−) is a versatile carp fishing system designed for both free-running and semi-fixed lead setups. Its design allows anglers to switch between the two configurations without cutting or disconnecting the mainline or leader.
In semi-fixed mode, the Run Ring is secured onto the retaining bead. The Minus (−) version provides lower retention resistance than the Plus (+) version and is recommended for leads weighing up to 85 g. It can also be used with heavier leads when a quicker transition to free-running is preferred. Under sufficient pressure, the Run Ring can disengage from the bead, allowing the system to become free-running while the lead remains attached.
For a free-running setup, the slotted Running Sleeve is fitted onto the line or leader and pushed over the retaining bead. This prevents the Run Ring from locking onto the bead, allowing it to slide freely. The sleeve can be added or removed without cutting the line.
The angled Run Ring allows the lead to hang vertically during casting, while the tapered bead helps guide the ring into position and protects the line or leader. The system can be configured for use with leaders, mainlines or anti-tangle tubing. Weight Links and Silicone Sleeves are included for lead attachment and improved anti-tangle performance.
