The 4Carpers Heli Leader System – Drop-Off Version is a ready-made helicopter leader for carp fishing, assembled with the original Korda Heli-Safe lead-release system. It offers a practical solution for anglers who want a helicopter setup with adjustable lead retention.
The system is assembled on a fast-sinking, 40 lb lead-free spliceable leader. The sliding helicopter arrangement allows the hooklink's movement range to be adjusted to suit different lakebed conditions and fishing situations.
The Korda Heli-Safe system allows the lead to be released under tension when the release mechanism is activated. This can be particularly useful when fishing in weed or around snags, where retaining the lead during the fight may be undesirable. Lead release depends on the selected configuration and the force applied to the mechanism.
The leader is supplied assembled. Connect it to your mainline or shock leader, attach your chosen hooklink and lead, and add your preferred hookbait. The hooklink, hook, lead and hookbait are not included.
Lead Release Adjustment:
Each version includes three options for configuring the Korda Heli-Safe mechanism:
- Soft spring – provides lower resistance for easier lead release
- Hard spring – provides greater resistance, requiring more force to release the lead
- Plastic locking collar – disables the lead-release function, allowing the lead to remain attached
System Construction:
- Fast-sinking, 40 lb lead-free spliceable leader
- Original Korda Heli-Safe lead-release system
- Quick Change swivel with an additional ring for hooklink connection
- Sliding helicopter bead arrangement for adjusting hooklink movement
- Soft spring, hard spring and plastic locking collar included with every version
Manufacturers of components other than the Korda Heli-Safe system may vary depending on availability while maintaining the intended configuration and functionality.
Technical Details:
Length: 75 cm
Leader breaking strain: 40 lb
