The 4Carpers Safe Clip Rig – Evolve x OMC is a ready-made carp fishing leader assembled from 78 cm of OMC 40 lb lead-free leader material and Evolve Weight Clip components. It provides a practical starting point for a safe clip lead setup, with a choice of tail rubber and swivel configurations.
The Evolve Weight Clip system allows the lead retention and release force to be adjusted. The Soft (−) Tail Rubber releases the lead at a lower force and is recommended for leads up to 85 g (3 oz), including 85 g. The Hard (+) Tail Rubber provides firmer retention and is recommended for leads of 85 g (3 oz) and heavier.
Both tail rubber versions can also be used outside their recommended weight ranges when different release characteristics are required. The release force can be further adjusted by changing how far the tail rubber is pushed onto the clip.
Choose between a Quick Change Swivel (QC) and a Ring Swivel to suit your preferred hooklink connection. The leader is supplied assembled with the selected components; a hooklink, hook and lead are not included.
