The 4Carpers Running Rig Lead Clip System – Drop-Off is a ready-made carp fishing leader combining a sliding rig arrangement with a conventional lead clip and lead-release functionality.
Unlike a fixed lead clip setup, the swivel is not secured inside the clip with a retaining pin. This allows the swivel to move in relation to the lead clip, creating the running rig principle. A buffer fitted over the swivel helps cushion contact and protect the connection.
The lead clip is fitted with a Tail Rubber, which helps retain the lead and influences how readily it can be released under tension. Lead release depends on the positioning of the Tail Rubber, the components used and the force applied. The system is particularly useful when anglers want a sliding presentation with the option of dropping the lead in challenging fishing conditions.
The system is assembled on a 75 cm, 40 lb fast-sinking, lead-free spliceable leader. It is supplied as a ready-made leader that can be connected to the mainline or shock leader and completed with the angler's chosen hooklink and lead.
Key Features:
- Running rig arrangement with a non-fixed swivel
- Conventional lead clip with Tail Rubber
- Lead-release function dependent on setup and applied tension
- Protective buffer fitted over the swivel
- Fast-sinking, lead-free leader with spliced connections
- Ready-made leader for use with a chosen hooklink and lead
Technical Details:
- System type: Running Rig / Lead Clip – Drop-Off
- Leader length: 75 cm
- Leader breaking strain: 40 lb
- Leader material: Lead-free, spliceable
